I bought this after getting some tips from a friend regarding removing stubborn stickers on used books I'd bought from an online retailer. This stuff works wonders! I'm able to get the stickers off the spines of the books with a bit of soaking in fluid and careful peeling (which can be otherwise destructive on older paperbacks with brittle/flaking spines.)As for its intended use with lighters? I can't say. But for DIY sticker removal this takes the top spot in my book repair kit!
