The engravure is cut by hand with a sharp graver into the coin. The pendant comes on a short or long 925 Sterling Silver necklace, vintage patinated.

The vintage french 20 centimes coin shows the portrait of Marianne – a national symbol of the French Republic, a personification of liberty. Marianne wears the Phrygian helmet of liberty – since the Greeks a symbol for strenght and power. The coin was designed by Henri Lagriffoul.

Engraved coins were called „Love tokens“ and popular in the Victorian age from 1837 to 1901 as keepsakes and mementos from travels.
