The solid Mercator knife with lockable blade has been manufactured for over 100 years by OTTER Knife Manufactory Solingen, Germany. It was originally made for military purposes. Solingen is the centre for the manufacture of sharp blades, knives and scissors in Germany with a great industrial heritage beginning in the 13th century.
